Nick Hammond is quite the prolific freelance journalist and has written for the likes of The Arbuturian, The Good Life, Fieldsports, Country Life and Cigar Journal. Nick also was awarded the Spectator Magazine Cigar Writer of the Year 2013.
It is through his work with Cigar Journal that I got to know Nick and my time managing The Edward Sahakian Cigar Shop. Two years ago, as I embarked on my Boutique Smokes project, Nick interviewed me for Cigar Journal.
Around the World in 80 cigars is not a cigar encyclopaedia, it’s more of a travelogue combined with his love of cigars. It’s a great book for enjoying as you enjoy a cigar and a wee dram.
If I didn’t know it was true, I could honestly believe that the stories are pure fantasy. Stories that left me astonished and made me laugh out loud. Nick has had some fantastic adventures and has nine lives.
I would say this is the perfect book to take some time out with or just enjoy a few chapters as you smoke a fine cigar.
We have limited copies of this book available and like our Moleskine Cigar Journal, Around the World in 80 cigars makes the perfect gift for birthdays and Christmas or just a treat for yourself.
